Today sees the announcement of this year’s Highways Awards shortlist. In the category of Road Safety Scheme or Project of the Year, sponsored by Keysoft Solutions, there are two finalists: Scotland Transerv and KierWSP.

The nomination for Scotland TranServ is for their Annual Moving Cursor Programme.

The Annual Moving Cursor Programme identifies locations on the Trunk Road network in South West Scotland with clusters of personal injury accidents over the preceding three-year period. Accident prevention schemes and safety improvements are subsequently identified and prioritised.

KierWSP is being recognised for their CarKraft Driver Improvement Scheme.

CarKraft is an award-winning road safety initiative designed to reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured on Northamptonshire’s roads. Participants experience driving on simulated, adverse road conditions on a state of the art, purpose built facility at Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix.

Keysoft Solutions is proud to be sponsoring this award which will no doubt be hotly contested and wish the best of luck to both finalists. The winners will be announced at the gala dinner on Wednesday 18th October at the Lancaster London with celebrity host, Julia Bradbury.
