KeySCAPE LandCADD offers a single solution that takes you from concept, through detailed design and contract documentation and beyond. Enhanced utilities and presentation options allow you to quickly create and modify design proposals to meet the changing requirements of clients.
Our flexible design approach allows you to customise the system and manage processes to streamline your workflows.
KeySCAPE LandCADD supports BIM which relies on a single source of the truth. By providing all the tools a landscape architect requires in a single application, we allow you to create and edit once, improving accuracy, speed of modifications and minimising errors, compared to managing duplicate copies of the same data within separate applications.
From using it to produce planting plans I would say it might actually take half the time to produce the plans as compared to normal manual methods of calculating quantities.
The production of an average planting plan has been reduced to a third of the time it used to take (e.g. 12 days down to 4).
Land Use Consultants
The challenge was to convert an exhausted 50 metre deep china clay pit near St Austell, Cornwall, with no soil into a landmark project to celebrate the year 2000.

Generate a topographic from the physical features of the original ground survey points and their respective elevation and plan view feature lines for a proposed design. Add new features to your landscape, calculate volumes and balance the cut and fill to optimise your site design.
Analyse the site to assess slopes, how water would flow over the site, determine the potential for ponds to form and consider areas of flood. Assess the visibility of objects placed in the landscape through viewshed analysis, based on single or multiple views.
Base planning provides a range of tools that help layout your site, annotate features and present in a plan or 3D view.
Provides a set of tools to set up and design elements for a site plan, such as sidewalks, retaining walls, building footprints. Includes recreation elements such as camping, swimming pools and sport fields
Golf Course Design
Quickly and easily lay out the elements of a golf course, using the Wizard to define the Course Number, Hole Number and Par. The Course Table allows you to generate a summary of the hole number, Distances and Par values from each tee.
Landscape and Detailed Planting Design
Landscape design contains all the functionality related to the creation of planting plans, including plant symbols, links to Quantity Takeoff, plant mixes, plant tables, growth simulation and vegetation lines. A completely customisable database of plants covering every climatic zone in the world is also available. Create plant palettes to specify individual plants or use a mix of plants based on a percentage contribution. Create and specify specimens, planting areas and hedges from your own plant lists or planting mixes. Quickly find, modify or replace plant specifications in the drawing. Schedule and price your drawing as you design to ensure you stay within budget. Check your drawing to avoid issuing drawings with omissions or errors.
Plant Database Import and Construction Details
Plant database is a very powerful tool with editing and customisation capabilities. Each plant record contains information such as general plant descriptions, characteristics, climate, colour, conditions, growth, maintenance, planting sizes, zones, textures and uses. You can also create or import your plant lists. Contruction details provides a comprehensive set of over 700 pre-drawn drawings, with manufacturer-specific details, ready to insert into your AutoCAD drawing.
Advanced Irrigation allows you to create large irrigation systems and is ideal for commercial scale projects, such as public open spaces, urban areas and golf courses. Sprinkler and drip feed irrigation systems is supported by a database of manufactures and specifications. You can group sprinklers controlled by the same valve and the program warns if there is insufficient water. Determine the possible flow rate and pressures for a given supply, e.g. municipal or pumped. Ideal for large projects.
London 2012: Olympic Park
KeySCAPE and AutoCAD was used by LDA Design to design, schedule and manage the landscape proposals for the London 2012 Olympic Park.
Drawing set-up allows you to work in metres, millimetres or imperial settings. You can rescale your drawing if you wish to work in alternative units.
Conceptual and Sketch Design
Use detailed and sketch graphics with gradient fills and transparencies to create stunning drawings that will impress and sell your proposals to your client. Include your own images to create mood boards that will help explain your design.
Built on the need to design paving areas within AutoCAD, Paving Design allows you to create and specify paved areas effortlessly. Use predefined patterns or create your own edging and paving using actual brick sizes and laying patterns, such as Herringbone, Basketweave, radial and random. Calculate brick numbers, specify and label your paving areas. Insert schedule at any time and export this to include within your Bill of Quantities.
Create stunning photorealistic images using a wide range of KeySCAPE LandCADD 3D symbols. Select and position simple or complex landscape drawings and quickly create rendered views and walkthrough’s of your site.
Export to Revit
Export your features to Revit and use the free Revit Add-In to import the KeySCAPE LandCADD data into your Revit project. The Add-In will populate the Revit model with your KeySCAPE LandCADD specifications and quantities to be scheduled in Revit. It will add 2D information to the plan view and place 3D representations of the KeySCAPE LandCADD objects on the Revit topology. It also includes rootballs for clash detection with underground services while allowing you to perform a shadow analysis to show the impact of your planting on the project.
