Swept path analysis software AutoTURN, is used to confidently analyse road and site design projects including junctions, roundabouts, bus terminals, loading bays, car parks or any on/off-street assignments involving vehicle access checks, clearances, vehicle tracking and swept path manoeuvres.
AutoTURN has been developed by transportation professionals for transportation professionals and is backed by rigorous engineering diligence and regular field tests.
Great program that we use every day to test highway designs
We would recommend AutoTURN software. We couldn't carry out the work without it! Technical assistance was excellent and given by very knowledgeable people. Technical support is only important to us if/when we have a problem which isn't very often.
Place Adaptive Vehicle Simulations
Place adaptive simulations either centred or offset left/right with smooth turning transitions on user-drawn paths made from lines, arcs, polylines, AutoCAD® Civil 3D® alignments or complex chains. Linking with geometry allow these simulations to adapt to grip-edits made to their paths.
Independant Rear Steering
Generate complex vehicle simulations with standard or specialised transport vehicles including independent rear steering systems (crab steering for supported types included).
Conflict Analysis and Regenerate Simulation
Perform vehicle conflict analysis and receive real-time visual feedback on any simulation path obstructions. AutoTURN also comes with the ability to regenerate an existing simulation to account for conflicts that occur after path obstacles have been added, removed, or modified.
Vehicle Envelope Load Shape
Simple or complex load shapes can be added to vehicles, to track load points and clearance of the load throughout manoeuvres.
Preview Vehicle Paths
Use live previews of which turns each vehicle will be able to make next, in order to plan manoeuvres quickly and easily. Dynamic guides appear based on the minimum turning radius and the current speed of the vehicle.
Realistic Vehicle Plan Views
With AutoTURN, you can use different vehicle plan views, showing greater vehicle detail, in the simulations to increase the realism and quality of presentations. This image shows a fire engine.
Offset Simulation
Produce vehicle simulations by simply selecting a roadway element such as a kerb or pavement edge and entering an offset distance to generate an optimum vehicle path while maintaining a constant clearance from the element.
Complete Vehicle Design Standards
AutoTURN includes national standard vehicle libraries for: US (AASHTO, Caltrans) Canada (TAC)Australia (Austroads), United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, New Zealand, plus many more countries.
